Please help support our next recording of Mozart’s Mass in C Minor
The ‘Great Mass’ in C Minor may be Mozart’s most daring masterpiece. Scored for a huge double chorus and large orchestra, it was left tantalisingly incomplete at his death, and will be recorded here with Dunedin Consort’s characteristic historical insight in a new completion by Clemens Kemme. It is paired with C.P.E. Bach’s extraordinary Heilig ist Gott, for double choir and orchestra, which is thought to have been a direct model for Mozart’s work.
Soloists Lucy Crowe and Anna Dennis (soprano), Jess Dandy (contralto), Benjamin Hulett (tenor) and Robert Davies (bass) join Dunedin Consort’s exceptional orchestra and chorus for what promises to be a monumental recording.
