As Lammermuir Festival celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2019, Dunedin Consort takes centre stage as its Ensemble in Residence. Spanning the festival from the first night to the last, we present a series of four concerts exploring the art of the Baroque concerto. From Vivaldi’s dazzling Four Seasons, through Handel’s concerto grossi for full orchestra, to the might of Bach’s Brandenburg Concertos, we revel in the extraordinary virtuosity and sheer joy of these intricate Baroque masterpieces.
‘For all the debates on historically informed performance, the most persuasive aspect of this concert was the sheer sense of joy’
