Bach was most famous as an organist and keyboard player, but was also a fine violinist. After a lively overture, the Dunedin Consort presents two of his solo violin concertos, with their wealth of inventive detail, alongside a colourful and joyful concerto for violin and oboe. The programme culminates in one of Bach’s greatest masterpieces – the Double Concerto for two violins, with its famous and sublime slow movement.
